On Sunday the 24th of July 2011 'Team Bigfoot' entered a team in the XTERRA - Woodhill Forest 2011 Trail Run. It was a very cold and very wet day but 'Team Bigfoot' were up to the challenge. 'Team Bigfoot' have been racing all year and are becoming a well oiled machine. We had entrants in both the 7km run and the 11km run. As usual we also had a broad range of ages representing Ngai Tai, from 7 to 67.

Ngai Tai Rangatahi !!! Getting ready for the 7km Walk/Run.

Our young ones continue to impress at these events. The shortest run we have entered this year has been 7km!! The enthusiasm and positivity they bring to the team is infectious. On the other side our Ngai Tai senior runners are showing that good health and regular exercise can continue well into our later years which is a benefit we can all enjoy. The more time we can all spend together as whanau the better.

Awesome race whanau!! Whaea impresses yet again.

There was alot of mud on the course to negotiate with quite a few runners losing their footing. Although this race was only 7km it sure felt a lot longer. The forest was awesome to run through and was a magnificent backdrop for this event. It certainly is a challenge running through any forest in rainy conditions. The run was very enjoyable and of course another chance for whanau to push themselves both mentally and physically while having FUN!!.

Well done to all those who took part and our support crew of drivers, sitters and cheerers. The event was a complete success and we are all looking forward to the next one.

Remember, if you want to take part in any of the upcoming events, please don't hesitate to email us at
